ETWA was established in 2021, marking two years since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Income inequality increased due to layoffs and fewer working hours among low-income, part-time employees during the pandemic. Consequently, when public schools rapidly switched to online learning, many students could not afford the technology and supplies required, and more than 1 billion children were at risk of failing. Therefore, we at ETWA are dedicated to expanding accessibility to a sufficient education in developing countries and marginalized groups for years to come by spreading awareness and hosting donation drives.
